What Posseon Finance does
Posseon Finance is a financial organization and cash-planning application for small businesses. The current pilot runs locally on the owner's Mac and uses Plaid to connect bank accounts in read-only mode.
Information we collect
After the owner chooses to connect a financial account, Posseon Finance may receive account names, account types, masked account numbers, balances, and transaction history from Plaid. It may also store business settings, categories, recurring costs, receipts, notes, and tax-planning preferences entered by the owner.
Posseon Finance does not request or store online-banking usernames or passwords. Plaid handles the financial-institution sign-in process.
How information is used
- Display business cash and transactions.
- Categorize income and expenses.
- Estimate business, tax, reserve, and owner amounts.
- Create owner-approved suggestions, exports, and backups.
- Maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
Posseon Finance does not sell financial or personal information and does not use it for advertising.
Storage and security
The pilot stores financial records locally on the owner's Mac. FileVault protects the device, sensitive credentials are stored in macOS Keychain, and backups and receipt files are encrypted. Connections use HTTPS.
Your choices
Bank data is collected only after the owner starts Plaid Link and authorizes specific accounts. The owner may decline to connect an account, disconnect Plaid, export records, correct information, or request deletion when retention is not required for tax, accounting, security, or legal obligations.
Retention and deletion
Disconnecting a bank connection revokes the Plaid Item and removes its local access token and cached account snapshots. Historical accounting records may be retained for tax, audit, or legal purposes and remain protected while retained.
Policy changes
This policy is reviewed at least annually and before material changes to data collection, hosting, bank connectivity, or the user model.
